Arsenal defeated the MLS All-Stars 5-0 in a lopsided midseason showcase on Wednesday night at Audi Field in Washington, D.C.


The Gunners were in control from the start, and they opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Gabriel Jesus converted a penalty kick after Auston Trusty was called for a handball in the box.


Arsenal doubled their lead in the 33rd minute when Bukayo Saka scored from close range after a neat passing move.


The Gunners continued to dominate in the second half, and they added three more goals in the final 20 minutes.


Gabriel Martinelli scored in the 63rd minute, and Eddie Nketiah scored a brace in the 78th and 85th minutes.


The win was Arsenal's second straight against the MLS All-Stars, and it was their most lopsided victory in the series.


The MLS All-Stars were without a number of their top players due to international duty, but they still put up a good fight.


However, Arsenal were simply too strong on the night, and they deserved their victory.
